Two people were injured, one of them critically, in a crash involving an SUV and an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) on Chicago’s Northwest Side Tuesday night, according to Chicago police. The collision happened around 9:03 p.m. in the 4800 block of West Diversey Avenue. Investigators said the crash occurred when the driver of an SUV was turning into a parking lot and collided with an ATV carrying two people. The 22-year-old ATV operator suffered critical injuries and was transported to Lutheran General Hospital for treatment. A 16-year-old passenger on the ATV was also taken to the same hospital and was reported to be in good condition. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
