Common Questions About Working With Us Across Illinois

I was hurt in one city but I live somewhere else, can you still help?

Yes. Where your case is filed depends on where the accident happened, not where you live. We can represent you whether you were injured visiting family in Chicago, on a work trip through Peoria, or driving on I-80 through Joliet. We handle the venue rules so you don’t have to think about them.

Do I need to come to your Chicago office, or can you come to me?

You don’t need to come downtown unless you want to. We meet clients in person at hospitals, homes, and rehab facilities throughout Illinois, and most initial consultations happen by phone or video. If you can travel, our office is at 161 N Clark Street in the Loop, two blocks from the Daley Center.

What does it cost to hire you?

Nothing upfront. We work on a contingency basis, you pay no attorney fees unless we recover money for you. The initial case review is free, and we cover the costs of investigating and filing your case while it’s pending.

How soon do I need to call after an accident?

The sooner the better. Illinois has a two-year statute of limitations for most personal injury claims, but evidence (skid marks, surveillance footage, witness memory) starts disappearing within days. Call us before you talk to the other driver’s insurance adjuster, what you say in that first call can be used against you.

What if my accident involves a vehicle or driver from out of state?

Common scenario, especially on I-80, I-90, I-55, and I-70. We routinely handle trucking and rideshare cases where the driver, the company, and the insurance carrier are all in different states. As long as the crash happened in Illinois, or the at-fault party operates here, we can represent you.

Evanston

Evanston is Cook County’s lakefront northern suburb, home to Northwestern University and a dense network of pedestrian and bike-friendly streets, which unfortunately also produces a steady volume of pedestrian and cyclist injury cases. The Skokie Courthouse handles north-suburb Cook County filings. We also represent families in wrongful death claims tied to fatal crashes and medical negligence at NorthShore Skokie Hospital.

Collar Counties & Western Suburbs

DuPage, Kane, Will, and Lake counties surround Cook to the west and south. The I-88, I-55, I-355, and I-80 corridors run through this region, and so do most of our truck and high-speed crash cases.

We handle the jurisdictional sorting so you can focus on recovery. Common cases include I-88 truck collisions, surgical errors at Rush Copley Medical Center, and pedestrian crashes downtown.
