Three people, including a 4-year-old girl, lost their lives following a four-vehicle crash in Kendall County on Friday night. According to Illinois State Police, the collision occurred around 9:15 p.m. on Illinois Route 71 near Walker Road in Millbrook. Investigators said one driver attempted to pass several southbound vehicles before colliding head-on with an oncoming vehicle, triggering a chain-reaction crash involving four vehicles. Five people were transported to nearby hospitals with injuries, and authorities later confirmed that three of the victims died. The Kendall County Coroner’s Office identified the deceased as 65-year-old James Witter, 38-year-old Amy Lee Witter, and a 4-year-old girl, all of whom were from Des Moines, Iowa. The crash remains under investigation by Illinois State Police.
