A two-vehicle crash on the Dan Ryan Expressway left one person hospitalized early Sunday morning on Chicago’s South Side, according to Illinois State Police. The crash happened around 1:25 a.m. near the Interstate 94 off-ramp at 83rd Street, close to the South Chicago neighborhood. Emergency crews responded to the scene, where firefighters worked to remove a person from a heavily damaged vehicle. The person was taken to a hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening. The cause of the crash was not immediately known. Illinois State Police said there were no closures in place following the incident.
