Two people were hospitalized Wednesday morning following a crash in Chicago’s North Lawndale neighborhood, with seven others declining medical treatment at the scene.

The Chicago Fire Department said the crash happened at the intersection of 18th Street and Avers Avenue. Two people were taken to a nearby hospital in fair-to-serious condition for further treatment.

Seven additional people involved in the incident refused medical attention.

Video from the scene showed two black vehicles and an ambulance near the crash site. Neither vehicle appeared to have sustained major damage.

The circumstances surrounding the crash were not immediately released.
