Michael J. Phillips Nominated for ITLA’s Board of Advocates

We are pleased to announce that attorney Michael J. Phillips has been nominated for the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association’s (ITLA) Board of Advocates. He is the youngest attorney to receive this leadership nomination at ITLA. This is a great honor for Mr. Phillips and a testament to his dedication and hard work in the legal profession.

His nomination for the Board of Advocates is a reflection of his commitment to the legal profession and his willingness to give back to the community. The Board of Advocates is responsible for promoting the goals of ITLA, which include the advancement of the civil justice system, the protection of individual rights, and the promotion of public safety.

As board members of ITLA, elected attorneys have the opportunity to work with other accomplished trial lawyers to advance these goals and to promote the interests of the legal profession. Members also possess a valuable opportunity to actively participate in shaping policies and programs that yield substantial benefits to both the legal community and the broader public.

Phillips Law Offices has a long history of active involvement with ITLA for more than 60 years. Founding partner of the firm, John G. Phillips, served as president of ITLA in 1964. His son and current managing partner, Stephen D. Phillips, also served as ITLA president in 2014 and currently serves as a member of the executive committee. In addition, partners Stephen J. Phillips and Terrence M. Quinn are presently serving as members of ITLA’s Board of Managers, further demonstrating the firm’s enduring commitment to the organization.

Michael Phillips’ nomination for the ITLA’s elected members of the Board of Advocates is a well-deserved honor.
